The company's business is to engage in the production and distribution of energy in the areas of electricity, gas, and district heating, to own and manage data and communication connections, to provide data and communication connections, to own and manage properties and facilities, and to provide services related to the energy sector. The company's other activities shall not be intended to generate profit for the shareholders and shall therefore comply with the municipal legal principles in Chapter 2 and Section 3c of the Municipal Act, which stipulate that the activities must be consistent with the municipality's competence and localization principle, that municipal residents must be treated equally, that there must be no support for individuals, and that fees must not be higher than the costs of the services provided, unless the law or case law allows for exceptions for certain activities or measures. If the company is dissolved or liquidated, its remaining assets shall belong to the municipality of Partille. Specifically, regarding the localization principle: For the part of the company's business that engages in the production and trade of electricity, the localization principle does not apply, and for the part of the company's business that engages in electricity grid operations, this may be carried out in geographic proximity to the municipality of Partille in order to achieve an efficient network operation according to Section 1 of the Electricity Act. For the part of the company's business that engages in the production and trade of natural gas, the localization principle does not apply, and for the part of the company's business that engages in electricity grid operations, this may be carried out in geographic proximity to the municipality of Partille in order to achieve an efficient network operation according to Section 1 of the Natural Gas Act. For the part of the company's business that engages in district heating, this may be carried out in geographic proximity to the district heating operations in the municipality of Partille in order to achieve an efficient district heating operation according to Section 39 of the District Heating Act.
