About Got Event AB
The company's business objective is to manage and operate the larger municipal-owned facilities intended for events, and to market, sell, and organize events in sports and culture, both independently and on a consulting basis, as well as to conduct related activities. The company's business also includes entering into agreements at the request of the municipal committee, with the aim of providing the municipality with security for its claim on the organization, for whose debts the municipality has provided a guarantee. The company shall comply with the municipal legal principles in Chapter 2 of the Municipal Act, which stipulates that the activities must be consistent with the municipality's competence and the principle of localization, that all municipal residents should be treated equally, a prohibition against providing support to individuals, and a prohibition against charging higher fees than those that correspond to the costs of the services provided, unless a law or legal practice allows for exceptions for certain activities or measures. The principle of cost recovery does not apply to the company's activities related to the management of municipal property, such as the leasing and transfer of real and personal property. Exceptions. The company shall obtain the approval of the Gothenburg municipal council before making any decisions in the company's activities that are of a fundamental nature or otherwise of significant importance. This § 3 may not be amended without the consent of the Gothenburg municipal council.
